Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a highly manageable condition, but it requires specialized, evidence-based care. OCD is characterized by unrelenting, reoccurring, intrusive thoughts (known as obsessions) that may be frightening or seem completely out of character. These thoughts are often accompanied by repetitive actions (compulsions) that feel incredibly difficult to resist and may or may not seem reasonable to the person experiencing them.
OCD can be time-consuming and debilitating. It often causes intense negative emotions like anxiety and fear, leading to a profound distrust of oneself. At Supporting Wellness, our Cold Lake therapists are here to help you regain control.
If it’s your first time at Supporting Wellness, give us a call and we’ll gladly help match you with a therapist who suits your needs. You can also browse our website to learn more about our therapists and book with the person who feels like the best fit.
The number of sessions we recommend is unique to each person. During your initial consultation, we can suggest a starting plan, and we will work collaboratively with you throughout the process, adjusting as needed to support your goals and achieve the best possible outcomes.
The cost of a 50-minute therapy session is typically $235, though fees may vary depending on the type of therapy and the therapist providing the service. Some of our therapists offer sliding scale options, so we encourage you to call us to discuss your needs and we will help connect you with someone who best fits your goals and budget.
