Psychoeducational Assessments Calgary

Psycho-Educational Assessments For You Or Your Child

As parents, you want to see your children succeed; having a child who is struggling at school or in other areas can be disheartening and stressful. At Supporting Wellness, we offer psychoeducational assessments that can help you understand why your child is falling behind and what you can do moving forward. The purpose of a psychoeducational evaluation is to help provide an objective understanding of your child’s needs and strengths and weaknesses, as well as what type of intervention or approach is necessary. We administer multiple tests during an assessment which are designed to screen for issues including learning disabilities, developmental delays, processing disorders, and more. Every evaluation begins with an interview with you and your child and finishes with a report outlining our findings. We submit this report to your child’s school board, advocating for certain accommodations to be made to optimize your child’s learning environment. You may want to consider scheduling a psychoeducational assessment for your child is avoiding or skipping school, falling behind in their homework or struggling to keep up in class, prone to anxiety and shyness, or is behind in their language skills.

Child & Adolescent Speech & Language Assessments

A child and adolescent speech assessment can help to identify the reasons behind a child’s inability to form proper words or to communicate effectively. At Supporting Wellness, we have a speech-language pathologist who will listen to how a child is saying their sounds, check their oral structures, and try to determine an explanation. Language assessments, on the other hand, can help to identify why a person is having difficulty using and understanding language. Depending on the concerns, a speech-language pathologist can complete assessments to generate a communication profile, identifying their areas of strength and weakness. This information can be extremely valuable when a child is struggling academically or socially. Contact us today to discuss your concerns and to schedule a hearing evaluation.

Psycho-Educational Assessments For Adults

In today's complex world, adults face their own unique set of challenges that can impede personal and professional growth. At Supporting Wellness, we understand that difficulties with learning, processing information, or managing social situations don't just affect children; adults can struggle too. That's why we offer specialized psychoeducational assessments for adults. These assessments are designed to uncover the underlying causes of struggles in the workplace, in higher education, or in personal development. By evaluating areas such as cognitive abilities, emotional well-being, and specific learning disorders, we can provide a comprehensive understanding of your strengths and areas that need support. Our evaluations lead to tailored strategies that promote success in your career, studies, and daily life. Whether you're facing challenges at work, returning to school, or seeking personal insight, a psychoeducational assessment can be a valuable tool in navigating your path forward. Let us assist you in unlocking your full potential by scheduling an assessment today.
