In addition to providing individual therapy to the brave men and women who defend our rights, and protect our communities, we also offer support to their families. The stress of not knowing if your spouse, parent, son, or daughter will return from work can be overwhelming. Our services include child and adolescent therapy for kids dealing with the absence of a parent, marriage and family counselling, speech therapy, and grief counselling. We believe in a systemic approach to treatment because children and spouses also need recognition, support, and treatment. We value and support the members of the community in their duty, and we hold them in the highest regard. Supporting Wellness Psychological & Family Services is a place where families can receive help for issues related to military service and more. We believe that change is possible, and we want our clients to know it as well. Together, we can open the door to a new chapter of wellness, happiness, and stability.
If it’s your first time coming to Supporting Wellness, give us a call so that we can identify the best therapist for your situation. If you know the person you would like to speak with, you can give us a call or book an appointment through their online portal.
The number of sessions we recommend changes with each individual. We can advise a certain number of sessions during the initial consultation, but the number may change as the sessions progress.
The cost of a 50 minute therapy session is $200. Other costs may vary based on the type of therapy offered and the therapist providing the counselling. Give us a call for more information or click here to view the recommended fee schedule determined by the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta.
We accept credit card, e-transfer, cash, and debit.
Payment is made at the end of each session and you will be provided with a receipt to submit for reimbursement from your insurance provider.
Depending on your current health insurance provider, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify what your coverage is for psychological services.
When a session is booked, that time has been reserved for you. If you are unable to attend, please cancel 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged for the full rate of the session.
