When anxiety escalates, it can cause a negative change in your normal thought processes. You may start to notice disruptive patterns or physical symptoms, including:
Overeating or a sudden loss of appetite
Feelings of depression and hopelessness
Antisocial behaviours or withdrawal from loved ones
Severe and unexpected panic attacks
During these overwhelming times, anxiety counselling in Cold Lake can be a highly useful tool for supporting healthier outcomes in your life. The dedicated counsellors at Supporting Wellness are here to help you learn effective, long-lasting strategies for improvement and emotional regulation.
If it’s your first time at Supporting Wellness, give us a call and we’ll gladly help match you with a therapist who suits your needs. You can also browse our website to learn more about our therapists and book with the person who feels like the best fit.
The number of sessions we recommend is unique to each person. During your initial consultation, we can suggest a starting plan, and we will work collaboratively with you throughout the process, adjusting as needed to support your goals and achieve the best possible outcomes.
A 50-minute session is $235 with a psychologist and $220 with a Canadian Certified Counsellor. Fees are the same at our Calgary, Red Deer and Cold Lake clinics, and couples sessions cost the same as a regular 50-minute session. Some clinicians charge less or offer a sliding scale, so call us to talk about your needs and we will help you find someone who fits your goals and budget. Assessments are priced separately because they involve more than one session, so contact us for a quote. You can also view the recommended fee schedule set by the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta.
For your convenience, we accept credit card, debit, e-transfer, and cash payments.
We offer direct billing to many insurance providers, including Alberta Blue Cross, Greenshield, Medavie Blue Cross, NIHB, Sun Life, Telus Health, Canada Life, Desjardins, Manulife, Chambers of Commerce, Equitable Life, Johnston Group, Maximum Benefit, Group Source, Simply Benefits, and Industrial Alliance.
If direct billing is not available for your specific plan, you can always pay for your session and submit the receipt to your insurance provider for reimbursement. If you have questions about your coverage, please give us a call and we can help determine which therapists are covered under your individual insurance plan.
When you book an appointment, that time is reserved just for you. If you are unable to attend, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice so we can offer the time to someone else. Missed appointments or late cancellations will be charged a fee of up to $200.
We also offer anxiety counselling at our Calgary and Red Deer clinics. If either is closer to you, you can book there instead.
