Navigating life’s terrain can be challenging, stressful, and overwhelming at times. I work with clients collaboratively to uncover more adaptive ways of navigating through these difficulties. I provide individual counselling in various areas including but not limited to anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, body image, self-esteem, self-care, and stress.
I prioritize creating a warm, safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental space where clients can share openly and feel both seen and heard. I believe the therapeutic relationship between the counselor and the client is vital to the counselling process and helps to foster a sense of trust and mutual respect. I employ an empathetic, compassionate, strengths-based, and empowering approach in my practice. My therapeutic approach to counselling is predominantly client-centered; however, I utilize various research and evidence-based therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. I understand and appreciate that each individual is different; therefore, I tailor counselling to the individual client to better meet their needs and therapeutic goals.
