I am a registered provisional psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists, With over 14 years of counseling experience, I specialize in supporting both adults and youth through various therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed practices, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), empathy-based techniques, narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I always foster unconditional positive regard for all clients.
My extensive experience includes navigating the challenges faced by individuals and families impacted by addictions, mental health issues, and trauma. I am privileged to work with a facility support dog named Benji, provided by the Lion’s Foundation of Canada Dog Guides. Over the past seven years, I have collaborated with this esteemed foundation, gaining extensive experience in animal-assisted therapy. Benji, my second facility support dog from the Lions Foundation, has been instrumental in various settings, including schools, community agencies, homes, and therapeutic environments. His presence offers comfort during stressful situations and aids in navigating complex dynamics.
