Che-Lynn Hallet, Canadian Certified Counsellor
Chelynn is an Indigenous counsellor with over 14 years of experience supporting children, youth, and adults impacted by trauma and mental health challenges. She began her career working with youth in treatment centres and has since expanded her practice to include adults, families, and individuals affected by complex trauma. Chelynn has extensive experience working with neurodiverse individuals and members of diverse and marginalized communities. Her areas of focus include trauma, mental health, domestic violence, and relationship counselling.
Chelynn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a focus in Criminology from the University of Calgary and a Master of Counselling from Yorkville University. She approaches counselling through a strength-based, developmentally informed lens, with a particular interest in brain development and how it shapes healing across the lifespan.
Chelynn joined Supporting Wellness to broaden access to care and support as many individuals as possible on their wellness journeys. She also incorporates nature-based and adventure-informed approaches into her work, drawing inspiration from time spent in the mountains.
Outside of the counselling room, Chelynn enjoys being outdoors with her dog—who occasionally joins sessions—and spending meaningful time with family and friends.
