Book For Cold Lake
With over twenty-five years of clinical experience, I bring a client-centered, strength-based, and eclectic approach to my work with individuals, couples, and families. I have received extensive training and supervision in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, and Couple Counselling approaches, supported by years of professional mentorship and applied clinical experience. Throughout my career in Ontario and Alberta, I have worked primarily in community-based counselling agencies and mental health teaching centres, supporting clients with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). My additional certifications in Conflict Resolution, Critical Incident Debriefing, and Separation Mediation have further strengthened my ability to assist clients navigating complex personal and relational challenges. My academic background includes a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto, where I was awarded a University of Toronto Fellowship Scholarship. My clinical placement was completed at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) within the forensic division. I hold a Ph.D. focused on group work, with my dissertation exploring the role of forgiveness in stress and anger management groups. Over the past decade, I have expanded my focus to clinical supervision, providing mentorship to Master of Social Work students and counselling professionals. My leadership experience includes serving as a Clinical Manager and Supervisor for counsellors and addiction support workers. I am passionate about supporting clients in areas such as conflict resolution and mediation, substance use recovery, and addressing family-of-origin issues. My practice is grounded in respect, compassion, and collaboration, empowering individuals to build resilience and create meaningful change. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward growth, balance, and emotional well-being.
